Johnathan Killebrew has officially announced his candidacy for the Tarrant Regional Water District (TRWD) Board, following the news of Vice President James Hill’s retirement in May.
With a deep-rooted commitment to water conservation, flood mitigation, and responsible resource management, Killebrew is ready to bring his expertise to the board to ensure that water remains clean, plentiful, and affordable for residents.
“As a lifelong resident of Fort Worth, I understand how vital a safe, reliable water supply is for the prosperity of our region,” said Killebrew. “We can address flooding concerns, protect our water resources, and plan for future growth—all without increasing property taxes.”

For 15 years, Killebrew has served as President of Metro Code LLC, a premier consulting firm specializing in building inspections and plan review. His firm provides critical inspection services across the DFW Metroplex and employs over 40 professionals. As a Master Code Professional and Certified Building Official, Killebrew brings expertise in building, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and energy systems—key components in developing sustainable and resilient infrastructure. Beyond his professional work, Killebrew has been a long-time advocate for energy efficiency and regional development. He is an active member of the Texas Energy SPEER Coalition, serves on the Fort Worth Development Advisory Committee, and is a proud member of the Fort Worth Home Builders Association. Additionally, he contributes to education as a board member for Fort Worth Academy.
